ACES, founded in 2007, is an independent provider of NHS eye care services in the community. We support the NHS, whilst providing patients with the highest standards of clinical care from expert consultant ophthalmic surgeons.

ACES offer exceptional and timely community routine and emergency ophthalmology outpatient services. Using the latest in ophthalmic technology, we consistently provide excellent clinical outcomes for all patients allowing them to enjoy a better quality of life.

ACES are able to treat patients with cataracts in just four weeks, in a setting that is both convenient and comfortable without requiring a hospital visit.

All healthcare professionals referring NHS patients to ACES should ideally use the NHS e-referral service in the first instance. Full details of all referral pathways can be found here.

Alternatively, we have a referral form available here that can be completed and submitted to aceseyeclinic.enquiries@nhs.net

Patients can be expected to be seen, on average, within four weeks from their initial referral. If a patient requires cataract surgery, they will then be offered the opportunity to choose a suitable appointment time in an ACES clinic that is most convenient to them. Patients requiring cataract surgery will expect to wait on average four weeks, which is vastly less than traditional NHS hospitals.
